The tower house (torre) is the former hay barn and stable for cattle. The basement was the place for the cattle and is now converted to a bedroom for 4 people, ideal for a couple or a small family. Via a small arched corridor you reach the bathroom. Upstairs there is the living room and kitchen connected to an outside covered terrace. The mezzanine features a bath and sofa with views on the valley. The small window in the floor near the kitchen is testimony to the opening that was present to throw the hay from the storage place down to feed the cattle.
In the 4 ha terrain around the Cascina Glicine you can find a swimming pool (3 x 7 m², open in summer period), a water source, a tree house, an open barn where you can take wood to use in the stove, a still-to-be-restored pizza oven, an outside barbecue and a pergola covered by fig trees and wisteria (i.e. the glicine after which our house is named).
Cascina Glicine is an ideal starting place to go for hiking or biking, to explore the area on a Vespa, to visit the pristine villages, to taste the Piemontese cuisine and to enjoy the views everywhere you look.
Although secluded, most amenities are close by. There are small supermarkets and restaurants in Gorzegno, Niella Belbo and Monesiglio (10-20 min). There are swimming pools within 15 min in Torre Bormida, Camerana and Bergolo. Outside and inside of the house, 4G connections are extremely good.
