The Maritime Alps

Want to do some mountain trekking in a spectacular scenery? The Maritime Alps are only 1.5 hours away! Typical starting points are the Terme di Valdieri (one-day to multiple-day trekkings around the Monte Argentera) and Certosa di Pesio (Parco Naturale del Marguareis). In winter time, you can go skiing in the Mondolè area (Artesina, Frabosa Soprana, Prato Nevoso), which is among the top-10 kids-friendly skiing resorts in Italy and has 130 km of tracks. Another ski area is Riserva Bianca in Limone Piemonte with 80 km of tracks, but mostly known for its off-track skiing.
